Marketing trends are constantly adapting and changing due to changes in technology and attitudes towards different interest. Obviously it can be overwhelming at times because what was trending last week may already be in the rearview mirror the following week! No one knows exactly what will stay and what will be a short-lived fad, but here at Autumn Consulting we know how important it is to stay aware of what works now, and what is to come!
Here are 2 trends already that have caught our eye:
- After-Sale Marketing
We have always known that when it comes to the customer, that strictly a product or a service is not the “end all be all” in most cases. The overall experience is a significant part in whether the customer will be coming back or not, because when a customer has a great experience with a service or something they bought, they are much more likely to go there again and most importantly no in a rush to look for something better. Where after-sale marketing comes in is that, in the world we live in now the experience usually doesn’t end after the transaction. Reaching out to someone afterwards whether it is via email, social media or telephone can have a lasting impact and create higher retention.
- Return of Email Marketing
For a long time many thought that email-marketing was slowing going to disappear. Many studies show that email marketing is trending up in creating awareness and acquisition. They key is though not if you use it, but how you use it. A big reason for this trend is cell phones. Many people have their email go to there phones nowadays instead of having to login to a computer or even a laptop. Those that have found a way to make the customer experience better on mobile devices have seen steady growth over the past year. Customers are much more likely to click and navigate to small quick links and information on their phone then to browse through their email on the computer these days for “stuff” not deemed a necessity at the time.
