Through Hiring Our Heroes, we learned a startling statistic: the unemployment rate among active duty military spouses is nearly 40%. Frequent moves and disrupted work histories make it difficult for spouses to find jobs that match their skills. That’s why we also joined the Hiring Our Heroes Military Spouse Fellowship Program and actively employ several military spouses.
