Join us in congratulating Goodwill of North Central Wisconsin on opening another store in Wisconsin! This store is a first of its kind as a bulk resale store serving North Central Wisconsin. Already a huge success, the first weekend alone brought in 100% more in sales than previously budgeted. Goodwill NCW, a 100% not for profit organization, has more than 26 programs and touches 55,000 lives a year. The Outlet Store plays an important part in their mission to elevate people and transform communities.
This Outlet Store offers a fresh spin on its traditional retail store by using a “Bargains by the Pound” format. This format helps in multiple ways, Consumers get the lowest-possible thrift price; Goodwill generates more support for its broad array of services and programs; and the environment will benefit by seeing more items potentially diverted from area landfills.
“For Goodwill NCW, the outlet store is another way to make sure that we are getting the maximum value out of each donation,” says Mary Haller, Vice President of Supply Chain. “We strive to find new ways to help people, protect our planet and remain a positive force in this community, our local community.”
The Autumn Team had the opportunity to work with Goodwill NCW by creating a new website for the Outlet Store. This website is unique in many ways:
• Fantastic teamwork demonstrated between Goodwill and Autumn
• Completing the site within a month prior to launch
• Driving new traffic from all around WI to the new store site
• Creating a tri-lingual site (English, Spanish, and Hmong)
The Upper Midwest is one of the largest Hmong communities in the United States; a people group from Asia who left their homeland due to persecution. Many came to the United States as refugees. Goodwill and Autumn Consulting both desired to enable all audiences in the North Central Wisconsin area to have access to the new website, therefore the Outlet Store’s website is also in Hmong.
