The Power of Mobile Marketing for Your Business

When was the last time you checked your phone to: find a contact, review an email, send a text, look up an address or listen to music?  New research finds that iPhone users are more active than most when it comes to utilizing their mobile devices.

TechCrunch reveals that Apple iPhone users are the most likely among mobile device owners to conduct research, buy goods and do their banking, all on the comfort of their mobile devices.

This research comes from a recent study conducted by Forrester who found that of the 50,000 mobile device owners they polled, a whopping 85 percent of those 18 or older use their iPhone to do shopping-related web searches, with 69 percent actually making purchases with it.

Add this to a recent stat given by Google that shows more mobile devices purchased last year than laptop and desktop computers combined.

This is actually great news for your business, company or organization.  How?  It reinforces the fact that consumers are choosing mobile over other alternative forms of gathering information to make informed purchasing decisions.  And according to Google, 82 percent of web traffic starts with search.  This means that people who need your product or service are already going to the web and searching for it.  Does your website, ad, blog or social media presence come up in their search?  That all depends on your integrated web marketing strategy.
